Principal's Message
Jennifer Griffin
Dear Miller Families,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year. It is with great excitement that our students are entering a new year with a new start, new teachers, and new opportunities. I look forward to working with families in building a positive learning environment for all.
My teaching career started in 1999 as a Third Grade teacher in St. Louis, Missouri for five years. Moving to Northwest Indiana in 2004 afforded me the opportunity to work in the Merrillville School Corporation beginning in 2005. From 2005-2013, I served as a classroom teacher in First, Second, and Third Grade. In 2013, I became the fourth building principal of Edgar L. Miller Elementary School. Our vision at Miller is that we “strive to empower every learner to reach maximum potential every day.”
Family engagement and communication are key components to a child’s success. We look forward to maintaining and building positive relationships with all of our families.
